Family, let’s deal with truth. In our melanin culture, when the woman stands by herself, when there’s no husband, no man, no partner holding her up—that’s not empowerment. That’s disaster. That’s collapse.
The so-called “independent woman” myth is not freedom—it’s a setup. And the numbers show it.
Right now, among all groups in the U.S., melanin women have the **lowest marriage rates**. Only about one in four are married today, while almost half of White and Asian women are. Nearly **half of melanin women over 25 have never been married**, compared to less than a quarter of White women. At the same time, **70% of our children are born into single-parent households**.
That’s not empowerment. That’s state-engineered instability.
And the consequences are hitting our children the hardest. Sons and daughters raised without fathers are **2–3 times more likely** to drop out of school, and our boys are far more likely to end up incarcerated. Without a father’s guidance, the police become the disciplinarian. Law enforcement steps into the role of “father,” and too often the executioner. That’s why we bury sons at 18 instead of seeing them graduate at 22.
A father corrects with compassion. The system punishes with bullets and cages.
And it doesn’t stop with the children. Melanin women themselves are paying with their lives. More of our sisters are dying alone, sick, and unmarried than any other group of women in this country. In the hospitals, we are **three to four times more likely to die giving birth** than White women—even when we have money and education. That’s not nature—that’s systemic bias. And the stress of doing it all alone is driving higher rates of hypertension, heart disease, and early death.
Corporate America has stepped in as the new “husband.” But the truth is, corporate America gives no love, no mercy, and no protection—only extraction. During the pandemic, melanin women were called “essential workers,” but really, we were treated as expendable lives. Sacrificed for profit.
Understand this clearly: **independence is a colonial lie.** In our original culture, no woman stood alone. She had her husband, her extended family, her tribe, her community. Support was the foundation. Today, independence has been weaponized. It looks like freedom, but it produces broken homes, lost children, and women worked to death by systems that do not care.
Our melanin women should never carry the load alone. Independence in this system is disaster, not destiny. We need husbands, fathers, tribes, and strong bonds to protect our women and raise our children. Otherwise, the state and corporations will continue to play the role of husband and father—with no love and no compassion, only control and destruction.
The future of our nation depends on rebuilding family, restoring balance, and protecting our women from dying alone in a system that never cared. That’s the truth. That’s the research. And that’s the warning.
